Experience: Zivan Zabar is Professor in the Electrical Engineering department at the Polytechnic Institute of NYU in Brooklyn, NY (Brooklyn Poly), where he served as Department Head from 1995 to 1998. He received his Ph.D. from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in 1972. His areas of interest are linear propulsion, electrical power conversion systems, and power electronics. He has six patents and more than 50 papers published in technical journals. He is a senior member of the IEEE , and a member of Sigma Xi.
